If your RO purifier has stripped the minerals out of your drinking water, there are three practical ways to put them back. Each suits a different situation.
Method 1: A mineral cartridge on the purifier
An inline cartridge fitted after the RO membrane releases minerals into the water as it passes through.
Suits people who want it handled automatically and do not mind a service dependency.
Trade-offs: it is a consumable with a finite life; the release rate declines as it depletes, often without any obvious sign; you cannot adjust the dose; and it only treats water that passes through that purifier.
Method 2: An alkaline filter
Alkaline filters raise the pH of water and typically add some minerals along the way.
Suits people whose primary interest is pH rather than mineral content.

Method 3: Concentrated mineral drops
A liquid concentrate added directly to the glass, bottle or jug.
Suits almost everyone, particularly anyone who does not want to modify their purifier.
Trade-offs: you have to remember to do it. That is genuinely the main one.
How to use drops properly
- Pour the water first.
- Add the dose on the label — for M-Shot, a few drops per glass or roughly 9–10 drops per litre.
- Stir or swirl briefly. Ionic minerals disperse quickly.
- Drink. At the correct dose there should be no taste or colour change.
If you are treating a jug or bottle, scale the dose to the volume rather than dosing per glass afterwards.
Choosing
If you want zero ongoing thought and are happy replacing cartridges on schedule, fit a cartridge. If you want control, portability and no plumbing, use drops. If pH is your actual goal, look at alkaline options — but be clear that is a different objective from remineralising.
